About Laura

I live in a little house in a little town where the snow falls down 5 months of the year. When you just want to snuggle up next to a fire, drink your favorite beverage, and read a good book, it seems prudent to share those books with others!

I performed in “Fiddler on the Roof” as Goldie in middle school, and rocked the stage in high school with my rendition of Wicked Witch of the West from “Wizard of Oz.” Definitely the only person there who didn’t need a mike and we had to troop the little “munchkins” into the library for a meet and great so I stopped scaring them. Great times! I continued my interest in performing. In 2009 I got my Bachelor’s of Music from Brandon University with a focus in Piano. After that I didn’t touch a piano for two years. Instead I picked up the ukulele and embraced my singing voice. I wanted to make music that was just to be happy. Through this time I taught singing, ukulele, and piano through KeyNote Studio with now over 15 years of teaching under my belt. The last eight years I’ve also taught homeschool. During that time I’ve read an inordinate amount of books out loud. For co-ops and libraries I’ve hosted story times and enthralled crowds of happy little people with read alouds. Laura’s story narration

I truly enjoy narrating stories that are timeless, clean, and especially suitable for kids and youth. There’s something comforting about tales that are both imaginative and wholesome—stories that spark curiosity, teach valuable lessons, and create lasting memories for young minds. Whether it’s a beloved fairy tale, an inspiring adventure, or a heartwarming coming-of-age journey, I take great pride in bringing these narratives to life in a way that is engaging and filled with wonder.
